The meeting was truly a summit in that national foreign language organizations and associations were asked to nominate representatives to bring their organization's perspective to the forum and also to take back to their organization ideas for action. Specifically, the National Assessment Summit aimed to identify a set of priorities for the next two years (2005-2007).
The National Assessment Summit identified seven priorities. Each priority is addressed in a section of this series of papers and is authored by one of the summit participants.
1. Articulation
2. Assessment Literacy
3. Suite of Assessments
4. Tests Database
5. Models and Anchors
6. Research
7. Advocacy.
