Children representing "el pulpo" (octopus), "la anguila" (eel), and "el cangrejo" arrange themselves in the order of a food chain by interspersing the word "come" (eats) at the appropriate points.

A child takes a turn identifying the color "rojo" (red) by tapping it with a fly-swatter.

Sra. Gullickson leads the children on a scuba-diving exploration under the sea. They saw two "ballenas" (whales) and one "delfín" dolphin).

Diane Reilly shows the class a book that she uses as a resource for children's songs and rhymes during a session in which participants shared their favorite teaching materials and resources with each other.

Helena Curtain displays a graph she uses with the story "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." She uses a large sheet of felt to which felt objects stick. She also uses three-dimensional objects such as fruits, which stick with velcro.

Rita Gullickson tells the story of five farm animals that go out for a ride in a boat. She asks the class to predict who sank the boat?

Five participants play the roles of the animals that go out in the boat: the mouse (Mirna Milazzo, on left), pig (Priscilla Russel), sheep (Tara Penyak), burro (Raquel Rivera), and cow (Dayci Chivukula). Which one do you think sank the boat?
