ESSENTIAL COMPONENTS OF PROGRAM:
It is the belief of all stakeholders involved
in implementing this Spanish Two-way Immersion program that the
following components are an essential part of attaining and maintaining
program excellence.

The program has specific and measurable goals, both at the
program level and the student/classroom level.

The program supports a philosophy of additive bilingualism
and equity for all students.

The program integrates into the larger school context.

The program is fully supported by administration.

The program is fully supported by all faculty and staff.

The program is fully supported by families and the community.

The curriculum is developmentally appropriate, student-centered,
academically rigorous, and integrates language instruction
with content instruction.

The students are held to the same academic content standards
as students in the regular education program.
